No matter where you live, spiders are always going to be a part of your life. They get into every nook and cranny of your house. For most of us, they seem to evoke either a sense of curiosity or one of fear, there doesn’t seem to be anything in between. While most spiders have their purpose in life, it seems as though their reputation and in most cases their less than stellar appearance tend to outweigh any good they are capable of doing. This is also considered to be the one reason why most people call in an exterminator to remove all signs of them from their homes.
While most spiders can be beneficial, there are a number of reasons why you should have a pest service come and remove them from your home.
Practically all spiders have some form of venom. Although this venom is typically used by the spider to stun its prey, some such as the Brown Recluse and the Funnel Web spider are well-known for biting humans.
Spiders spin webs in order to catch their prey and to you they might look amazing covered in early morning dew, they might look unsightly, especially if you have several spiders on your property.
Arachnophobia or the fear of spiders is a very real thing and if your property is infested with spiders and their webs, this could easily keep your home from being sold.
Not everything about spiders is bad, they prey on and eat a lot of other pests, both in your garden and in your home. They eat moths, earwigs, aphids, cockroaches, flies, and many other pests. This is far better than using a host of chemical pesticides that have been proven to be bad for you and your family as well as for the environment. However, if you feel as though your house is being overrun by spiders, you may want to consider contacting a professional pest service.
